The Arizona Cardinals (3-4) and Miami Dolphins (2-4) will kick off the Sunday afternoon slate of NFL Week 8. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. The game will be broadcast on FOX and can be streamed on platforms like YouTube TV.
The Dolphins are consensus 4-point favorites over the Cardinals (Dolphins -4) with the game total set at 46. Miami is -210 on the moneyline to win outright, while Arizona is +170 to pull off the upset.
Arizona won 17-15 last week over the Chargers. James Conner led the way with 152 total yards of offense, although Kyler Murray only threw for 145. The Dolphins lost 16-10 to the Colts last week and have lost three out of four games without Tua Tagovailoa, who could return this week under center.

Spread
Tua Tagovailoa is poised to return, and the Dolphins tend to beat up on inferior teams. This is a bad spot for the Cardinals, so I'm fading them and laying the points with Miami.
Moneyline
I'll lay the points on the Dolphins and pass on betting the moneyline.
Over/Under
I'm not betting the total for this game.
My pick: Dolphins -4
Arizona Cardinals vs. Miami Dolphins NFL Thursday Night Football Preview
I think the Dolphins are significantly undervalued here, especially with Tua Tagovailoa poised to come back from his latest concussion.
Miami has been so bad on offense but has such high upside that this unit can be unlocked with a strong quarterback. With Tagovailoa, the offense is fully healthy at all levels, be it on the offensive line or in the backfield.
The key to slowing down the Dolphins offense is to get pressure on Tagovailoa, but the Cardinals aren’t the team to do that. Arizona has lost two edge rushers and two more interior defensive linemen. The secondary already isn’t great, and Sean Murphy-Bunting got hurt last week.
This Cardinals defense is horrendous. It's the only unit in the NFL that’s allowing a Success Rateover 50%. That puts Arizona in the same league as the Panthers. On the other side, Miami’s defense has played some bad quarterbacks and been under-the-radar good. The Dolphins are one of five teams allowing a Success Rate below 40%.
This is also just a terrible spot for the Cardinals. It’s a short week for them coming off a Monday Night Football win, and they have to travel across the country.
Anyway, who are the Cardinals? They’re 4-3 with a miracle comeback win over the 49ers because San Francisco’s kicker got hurt. Then they had a two-point win over the Chargers last week in a game they should have lost. Arizona had a lot go right for it in that game, like Kyler Murray throwing an interception only for the Chargers to fumble, or when Jalen Raegor fumbled the ball into the end zone for Los Angeles.
Arizona’s one convincing win was against the Rams, who were really beat up and basically playing with their practice squad.
Also, when the Dolphins are healthy, they dominate bad teams. Miami has a great record against teams under .500 with Mike McDaniel as the head coach, and I see no reason why that won’t be the case here.
Pick: Dolphins -4
