How many times have we seen a player slide late in the game rather than waltz into the end zone for an easy score?

It’s the correct move that players are taught. Don't score and give the ball back to the opposition. Just go down and let the quarterback take a knee until the clock strikes zero.

This time-tested decision for players to slide has led to a ton of bad beats over the years.

Except Sunday night, the opposite occurred as Chase Brown darted into the end zone for a 30-yard touchdown run instead of sliding to secure the win. The Bengals ended up beating the Giants 17-7 rather than 17-10 as a result. His decision made all the difference in the world as the Bengals closed as a 4.5-point favorite.

Fortunately, the touchdown ended up saving the public as 78% of all bets and 77% of the handle at DraftKings was on Cincinnati covering.

The score seemingly came out of nowhere, as the Bengals’ offense couldn’t muster much after the first drive of the game. In one of the oddest touchdowns of his career, Joe Burrow sprinted for a 47-yard touchdown run on a third-and-18 a little over three minutes into the game.

The Giants' defense stymied Burrow and company pretty much the rest of the way as they lived in the Bengals' backfield. The only other points they scored were on an Evan McPherson field goal with less than a minute to play in the third quarter to go ahead 10-7.

It was a frustrating night for the public that appeared, for all intents and purposes, to end in annoying fashion. However, in a rare treat, Brown saved the day by doing the opposite of what players are coached to do. Cincinnati improved to 3-3 ATS as a result, as well as 2-4 straight up.
