If the Bengals manage to keep this game competitive, it would be stunning. Jacksonville has played excellent football of late. The Jaguars enter this contest with wins in seven of their last eight games — over half of those victories (four) by margins of 10-plus points and the only loss to the 49ers.

Unlike some teams, the Jaguars’ high level of success doesn’t seem to have much of an impact on their willingness to throw the ball late. Trevor Lawrence has attempted 29 passes or more in every single contest this season, and he’s completed at least 20 attempts in 10-of-11 outings.

Lawrence has finished with exactly 20 completions on two separate occasions, so if we’re drawing a firm line in the sand, he has only gone over 20.5 completions in eight of 11 matchups. However, the only game he fell short of 20 was in a 34-3 loss to San Francisco – and we shouldn't have to worry about a similarly unfortunate series of events unfolding this week for Jacksonville.

It's been a roller-coaster season for the Bengals. After stumbling out to a frustrating 1-3 record, Cincy seemed like it finally had the train back on the track entering Week 10 as the Bengals went into their matchup against Houston with wins in five of their last six games to get to 5-4.

However, somewhere along the way, Joe Burrow suffered a wrist injury during a thrilling 30-27 loss to Houston. Burrow showed up to the stadium the following week wearing a soft cast on his throwing hand and admirably tried to play through the pain in a primetime matchup against the Ravens in Week 11.

Unfortunately, Burrow was forced to make an early exit and then opted for season-ending wrist surgery – in terms of title contention, that’s all she wrote for Cincinnati.

The Bengals are 0-3 in their last three games, and they’ve scored 20 points or fewer with under 275 yards of total offense in both losses started by backup Jake Browning.

That said, the Bengals’ upcoming stretch of games might be the only true audition that Browning gets as an NFL signal-caller. While he may not be the most athletic QB, he certainly isn’t afraid to take off and run. In his senior year of college at Washington, Browning averaged six rush attempts per game. In his first two appearances this season for the Bengals, he’s averaged 3.5 carries for 24.5 rushing yards.

Browning fell short of the 12.5-yard mark in his last outing against Pittsburgh (three carries for nine yards). But assuming that he continues to tally somewhere between 3-6 rush attempts per game (or more) moving forward, I believe his rushing line of 12.5 yards is too low. He could potentially clear this number with one scramble.

Pick: Jake Browning Over 12.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Christian Kirk

Over 50.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Despite a record of 8-3, Jacksonville’s offense has been all over the place, highlighted by the Jaguars scoring fewer than 21 and more than 30 in roughly the same amount of games (four).

Christian Kirk has arguably been the most consistent part of the Jaguars’ attack. Kirk caught just one pass for nine yards in a win over the Colts in Week 1. But since then, he's tallied 46-plus receiving yards in every single contest, and he’s tallied 89-plus yards in three of his last five.

Over the last few weeks, it has been reassuring to see Calvin Ridley and Evan Engram become more involved. But even with a nine-yard performance weighing down his numbers, Kirk still leads the team in receiving by a distant margin with 761 yards, followed by Ridley at 663 and Engram at 524.

I think we’ll see Kirk have another solid night.

Pick: Christian Kirk Over 50.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
