How Bengals Reached 2022 NFL Playoffs
Tommy Stokke: In Joe Burrow’s first full season as an NFL starter, he has looked exactly like the talent prognosticators had predicted he would be when he was the No. 1 overall pick out of LSU in 2020.
Burrow and former college teammate Ja’Marr Chase have put together one of the most explosive passing attacks in the NFL just two years after the Bengals finished 2-14.
This team hasn’t been the most consistent — losses to the Bears and Jets have indicated as much — but they’ve peaked at the right time with three straight wins, capped off by a dominant Burrow display in a win over the Chiefs.
Cincinnati will host a home playoff game come January. That in and of itself has to be a success for Bengals fans.
How Raiders Reached 2022 NFL Playoffs
Chase Howell: This is a team that many expected to falter down the stretch after so many off-the-field issues throughout the season. But someway, somehow they have found themselves in the postseason despite their head coach resigning in October.

The Week 17 win over the Colts showed that they belong in the conversation with the playoff teams. Derek Carr is good enough to carry a team and the return of Darren Waller will make things even more interesting.
The defensive line is the strong suit of this team. If they get matched up against a time that likes to run the football, it could be a very good matchup for them.
They rank 19th in Football Outsiders’ total DVOA on offense and 23rd on defense. On paper, they’re not even a playoff team. But here we are.
