The money for Sunday is headed in one direction, but the biggest Super Bowl bets are going the other way.
The point spread at most shops is 49ers -2 for Super Bowl 58, but 68% of the bets and 77% of the money is on the Chiefs, according to Action Network’s public betting data as of 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night. People are clearly hesitant to fade Patrick Mahomes again after the majority of bets and money were on the Ravens in the AFC Championship Game.
However, that hasn’t stopped the biggest bets from coming in on the 49ers.
The five biggest bets on a side in the Super Bowl are all on San Francisco. Here’s a breakdown:
Amount | Bet | Sportsbook |
---|---|---|
$1 million | 49ers ML (-120) | Caesars |
$668,000 | 49ers -2 | Caesars |
$600,000 | 49ers ML (-120) | DraftKings |
$500,000 | 49ers ML (-125) | Caesars |
$500,000 | 49ers ML (-125) | DraftKings |

According to Vegas Insider’s Patrick Everson, BetMGM has taken 67% of tickets and 78% of the money on the Chiefs, as well as 78% of tickets and 83% of money on the Kansas City moneyline.
“The Chiefs are clearly the popular side in this matchup," TwinSpires told Everson. "It’s hard to pass up on Patrick Mahomes as an underdog.”
In his career, Mahomes is 9-3 straight-up and 10-1-1 against the spread as an underdog. According to Action Network’s Evan Abrams, this will be Mahomes’ fourth playoff game as an underdog. He won the first three.
