Boston Scott has been a New York Giant killer throughout his career, so it stands to reason that the Eagles running back would have the most popular anytime TD bet for today's Christmas Day tilt.
That's according to data at DraftKings, which said Scott to score a touchdown today is the most popular overall prop for today's game. This is, of course, a game that features several more prominent Eagles skill position players, not to mention Saquon Barkley and Tommy Cutlets on the other side of the field.
But the public is basing this solely off priors — despite Scott's zero touchdowns and just 78 yards from the field so far this season. Scott has scored 20 career touchdowns. 11 of those have come against the Giants, while the other nine represents the rest of the NFL combined.
The best market price is with FanDuel at +390. That implies a probability of about 20% that Scott scores a TD today. It's a ridiculous implied probability given his production so far this season.
Yet still, the public loves a good narrative. And the Eagles are facing one of the worst rush defenses in the NFL. It's Christmas Day, maybe bettors are due for another present.
