Let’s dive into my Broncos vs. Chargers player props and my NFL picks for Thursday Night Football.
Sam Farley's Broncos vs Chargers Player Props
- Bo Nix Over 0.5 Interceptions (-134, Unibet)
- Bo Nix Over 19.5 Rushing Yards (-110, BetRivers)
- Ladd McConkey Over 5.5 Receptions (-120, FanDuel)
Bo Nix Over 0.5 Interceptions (-134)
It’s been an interesting rookie campaign for Bo Nix. After a poor start, he’s improved rapidly and now has his team on the verge of a playoff campaign and ending the second-longest streak of a team not making the playoffs. One element of his game that has improved has been the elimination of turnovers.
Despite that improvement, we’ve seen Nix slip into old habits over the past two games. And with huge pressure on this matchup, it could happen again. He’s thrown 11 interceptions on the season, but five in the past two games, including three against the Colts last week. He also threw one against the Chargers when these teams met in Week 6.
Bo Nix Over 19.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Nix's rushing ability has thrived. It’s not a part of his game that he uses often, but he’s athletic enough that he can be very effective when he does decide to scramble. In fact, he’s averaged 23.3 rushing yards per game this season.
Thursday’s rushing yards total stands at 19.5 yards, a total he’s gone over in seven of 14 games this season. The line has moved up already at some books, so grab it while you can and back it up to 22.5 yards. Last week, he had eight rushing attempts and covered this line. Additionally, he rushed for 61 yards when he previously faced the Chargers — his second-largest rushing total of the season.
Ladd McConkey Over 5.5 Receptions (-120)
When it comes to the Chargers’ offense, there’s one player who really leaps out — Ladd McConkey. He is the best player on that offense, but last week, in his return from injury, he caught just five passes. However, given that he was only announced active late, we should see more on TNF.
The three games before that injury saw him catch at least six passes every time, with a total of 27 targets. He’s been a high-volume guy all season with six or more receptions in all but two games. Regardless of facing the best cornerback in football, Patrick Surtain II, we’ll continue to see McConkey get fed, so take the over on his receptions.
