The first Monday night of the NFL season is a glorious one.
Celebrate it by betting on player props with PrizePicks, which allows you to parlay multiple picks together in 27 states.
Here are my two favorite PrizePicks props for the Broncos vs Seahawks edition of Monday Night Football.
Geno Smith
Over 9.5 Rushing Yards
Pete Carroll loves to run the ball. His commitment to establishing the run earned lots of criticism last season when fans and media members alike yelled at him for not Letting Russ Cook.
The Seahawks had a half-decent rushing attack last season as they were one of the best teams in rush EPA per play and yards per carry. But they struggled with success rate and getting stuffed, often leading to issues in short-yardage situations.
The new quarterback can fix that.
Utilizing some read-option plays with Smith might be an option. He totaled 604 yards over his first two seasons in the NFL, so the athleticism is clearly there. Last season, he tallied 23 rushing yards against the Rams and 12 against the Saints.

Denver's defense allowed 54 rushing yards to Patrick Mahomes in Week 18 last season, so the Broncos are not immune to quarterback rush yards.
Our Action Labs Player Props tool projects Smith for over 15 rushing yards, giving us one of the biggest edges on the PrizePicks board.
Pick: Over 9.5 rushing yards.
Noah Fant
Over 2.5 Receptions
This line is far too low.
Fant cruised by this line in 13 of his 16 games last season as he was consistently one of Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock’s favorite targets. He finished third on the Broncos in target market share and picked up over 20% of that in five games.

While Fant is now in a new city and in a new uniform, that might not be such a bad thing. I think Geno Smith and Pete Carroll will lean heavily on the short passing game. That will take away opportunities from DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett and give more to Fant.
The Broncos' defense is a tough one, especially on tight ends. Only five teams allowed fewer pass attempts per game to tight ends last season than Denver. However, the defense still allowed six pass attempts to tight ends per game, and Seattle doesn’t have a second tight end they can lean on.
The Action Labs Player Props tool projects Fant for just over three receptions, giving us enough value to take this PrizePicks number.
Pick: Over 2.5 Receptions.
