To wrap up this NFL Sunday slate, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to AT&T Stadium to face the Dallas Cowboys for Sunday Night Football Week 16. Kickoff for SNF is set for 8:20 p.m. ET and will broadcast on NBC and Peacock.
Let’s get into my Buccaneers vs. Cowboys player props and my NFL picks for Sunday Night Football.
Buccaneers vs. Cowboys Player Props for Sunday Night Football
- Jake Ferguson Over 35.5 Receiving Yards (-110, bet365)
- CeeDee Lamb Over 73.5 Receiving Yards (-110, bet365)
- Bucky Irving Over 62.5 Rushing Yards (-113, FanDuel)
- Bucky Irving Anytime Touchdown (+105, BetMGM)
Jake Ferguson Over 35.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
It really hasn't been a vintage year for Jake Ferguson, especially after accumulating over 700 yards and five touchdowns in 2023.
However, this is a good matchup for the Cowboys' tight end, with the Bucs’ defense showing a glaring weakness against the TE-position this year.
Only the Chiefs have given up more yardage to the position than the Bucs, who are allowing a staggering 69.5 yards to the position every week.
Ferguson is still getting targeted in this offense with 10 targets in the past two weeks, now he gets to face a defense who should allow him to cover a fairly low total.
CeeDee Lamb Over 73.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
We’re taking another piece of the Cowboys’ offense to go over their receiving yards, but this time it’s CeeDee Lamb.
At this point, there’s not really much more to say for Lamb, he’s a genuine superstar and one of the very best pass catchers in the NFL.
What’s more, is that he’s proven himself to be quarterback-proof without Dak Prescott, excelling regardless of who is throwing the football.
His line for this game stands at 73.5 yards. That feels low given that he’s had 90+ yards in each of the past two weeks, owns a season-long average of 77.7 receiving yards per game, and faces a Bucs’ defense allowing the third-highest amount of receiving yards per game with 247.7.
Bucky Irving Over 62.5 Rushing Yards (-113)
This Cowboys’ defense has really failed to reach expectations this year. Not only are they no longer an elite unit, they’re actually bad in some aspects.
One area in which they’ve really struggled is against the run, allowing an average of 136.1 rushing yards per game this season.
Granted, they face Saquon Barkley twice a year, but this is a unit that simply hasn't been at its best in 2024.
Last week we saw Bucky Irving again get a big workload with 15 carries after carrying an injury the prior week and Irving repaid that faith with 117 yards. He had as many carries as Rachaad White but managed to earn an extra 53 yards, with his yards per carry of 7.8 far greater than White at 4.3 or Sean Tucker at 2.4. Irving is a genuine stud with an average YPC of 5.6 this season and will be a key part of this offense going forward.
Bucky Irving Anytime Touchdown (+105)
We’re doubling down on the Bucs’ running back and backing Irving to find the end zone. He’s been hugely efficient through the year, and although he’s scored just six touchdowns, that’s largely down to a lack of usage earlier in the season.
In fact, he’s scored a touchdown in all but one game that saw him get double digit carries, showing that if you feed him, he will score.
As mentioned above, the Cowboys offer a tasty matchup for him. They’ve given up 16 touchdowns to running backs this year, a number only beaten by the Panthers and Jaguars.
He does have White and to a lesser extent, Tucker, to worry about, but the team clearly trusts the rookie, and he should see plenty of red zone carries on Sunday night.
