Sunday Night Football opens with arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time making perhaps his last road visit against America's team.

This is the matchup that opened up the 2021 NFL season, when the Bucs escaped with a narrow 31-29 victory.

And as always with these sorts of island games, player props are king. For this matchup, the most popular pick may surprise you.

That data is according to PointsBet, who also kindly provided the Action Network the most popular Bucs vs. Cowboys prop bets for tonight.

Bucs vs. Cowboys Most Popular NFL Player Props

  1. Leonard Fournette to score a touchdown anytime (-105)
  2. Mike Evans to score a touchdown anytime (-115)
  3. CeeDee Lamb to score a touchdown anytime (+100)

*Odds and data are according to PointsBet as of Sunday afternoon.

These three picks are, perhaps not coincidentally, the three largest favorites in the anytime TD market.

While the Cowboys were ranked the second-best defense last season, according to DVOA, their run defense lagged behind their elite pass defense. Against the run, they were middle of the road at 16th.

That's what bettors are banking on for Sunday night — that a middling run defense returns to allow Leonard Fournette a goal line scamper or two.

Fournette's most popular prop has odds of -105, which imply the probability of him getting in the end zone are about 51.2%.

Our anytime TD expert Gilles Gallant doesn't recommend that pick, though. In fact, he's not bullish on any of these most popular prop plays on Sunday night.

Read about where he thinks value lies here, where he endorses picks like Josh Palmer to score a TD at +340 when the Chargers face the Raiders during the late afternoon window.
