Week 5 in the NFL kicks off with an NFC South duel between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcons.
This battle kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video and will feature two teams looking to take supremacy within their division.
Below, I have two Buccaneers vs. Falcons anytime touchdown scorer props for Thursday Night Football tonight.
Buccaneers vs. Falcons Anytime Touchdown Scorers
- Drake London Anytime Touchdown (+175, BetMGM)
- Cade Otton Anytime Touchdown (+400, FanDuel)
Drake London
Anytime Touchdown (+175)
I still think the touchdown market hasn’t come around on Drake London.
While he didn’t score last week (no Falcon did), he has a touchdown in two of the four games played – which is already the same amount of TDs scored last season.
He currently has six red zone targets, which is more than the rest of the Falcons combined, posing promising odds for this matchup.
To top it off, Tampa Bay’s secondary has been a bit lucky as of late with its receiver matchups this season. The Bucs played the Eagles when Philly was missing its two top receivers, they played the Broncos where Bo Nix can’t seem to complete a pass and they played Washington where Jayden Daniels didn’t come into his own yet.
I expect quarterback Kirk Cousins to test the Bucs’ secondary a lot, with London securing a touchdown.
Cade Otton
Anytime Touchdown (+400)
Tight end Cade Otton has become a favorite for Baker Mayfield. Along with playing over 90% of the snaps, Otton has seen 17 targets over the past two games. In each of the past three games, he’s also seen at least one red-zone target.
The Falcons’ defense plays a ton of zone coverage, with a top-six rate in the NFL, which seems like a perfect storm for Otton since he tends to do more damage against zone in his career rather than man defenses. Atlanta also hardly gives up big receptions, only allowing four completions of 20+ yards or more, which are is the fewest amount in the NFL.
I do expect Mike Evans and Chris Godwin to still be involved, but their ATD odds are always so steamed.
It also doesn’t hurt that receivers Trey Palmer and Jalen McMillan are likely to miss the game with injuries. Their absences only boost Otton’s chances of seeing more targets than normal.
