Player props are a growing form of sports betting, and Thursday Night Football between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys has a full menu of options.
Among those players getting early attention are Tom Brady, Mike Evans and Ezekiel Elliott.
According to betting data from BetMGM, those three have been bet more than any other player.
For Evans, the prop that bettors are hammering is the first touchdown in the game. Evans to score the first touchdown is priced at +650 (bet $100 to win $650).
Evans is coming off a career year in terms of touchdown receptions. He caught 13 touchdown passes in 2020, the most in his career. He caught 12 touchdowns during his rookie season in 2014 and his first Pro Bowl year in 2016.
The next most popular bet on Thursday night is Ezekiel Elliott scoring a touchdown at any time. With a total over 50, the Cowboys are expected to score points, which makes bettors comfortable that one of those scores will come from the starting running back.
However, Elliott is coming off the worst season of his five-year career. He averaged just 65 yards per game and scored six touchdowns in 15 games. He added two receiving touchdowns, but his eight total scores were the fewest in his career.
And, of course, what's a Bucs game without faith in a huge game from Brady?
What will Brady do as an opening-night encore to last season's Super Bowl-winning year? Bettors are counting on a show, making Brady to throw at least three touchdown passes one of the most popular bets. That comes in at +150.
Brady threw at least three touchdowns seven times in 16 games in 2020.
