The Dallas Cowboys will take on the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football in a pivotal game for both squads' playoff future.
The Cowboys have a solid two-game lead in the NFC East but can't rest on their laurels quite yet. While a few weeks ago it looked like they were guaranteed a playoff spot, there's an outside chance either the Philadelphia Eagles or the Washington Football Team catches up to them in the division.
Dallas has looked shaky over its current two-game losing streak, but the advanced analytics still like them overall. They're 5th overall in overall DVOA, including 7th in offensive DVOA and 4th in defensive DVOA, according to Football Outsiders.
Ezekiel Elliott has been a non-factor over this two-game skid. He put up just 68 total scrimmage yards in a loss against the Kansas City Chiefs and just 49 total yards in a Thanksgiving Day loss versus the Las Vegas Raiders.
CeeDee Lamb also hasn't participated much. But that's because he suffered a concussion against the Chiefs, one that forced him to miss the Raiders game.
The public is expecting the duo to have massive games. Enough so that CeeDee Lamb and Ezekiel Elliott's player prop picks are the most popular plays for this Thursday Night Football matchup.
Cowboys vs. Saints Most Popular Player Props
- CeeDee Lamb to score a touchdown at any time (+110)
- Ezekiel Elliot to score a touchdown at any time (-115)
- Alvin Kamara to score a touchdown at any time (-115)
Alvin Kamara is likely out on Thursday, but that hasn't stopped bettors from putting money on him anyway. Be sure to know your sportsbooks' house rules for situations like this where a player doesn't play.
Meanwhile, the Saints have looked terrible since quarterback Jameis Winston tore his ACL. While their defense is among the best in the NFL, until they figure out their offensive situation, there's a very likely chance they slip out of the NFC playoff picture.
New Orleans enters Week 13 tied for the No. 7 seed in the NFC.
In an attempt to switch things up, Taysom Hill will make his first start of the season at quarterback this coming week.
