Josh Palmer
ATD +215 (DraftKings)
With the injuries to Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, Palmer is clearly the No. 1 receiving option for the Chargers. Case in point: 22 targets over the last two games – Justin Herbert trusts the guy.
While San Francisco’s defense is tough, it has given up eight passing touchdowns this season.
The Chargers are heavy road underdogs in this game, which indicates they will likely have to pass a bit in order to keep pace with the 49ers.
Hate to bring up the injuries to Los Angeles’ receivers again, but Palmer and Carter are kind of all that’s left. Carter has seen a snap rate over 85% with Allen and Williams sidelined, and he’s also gotten at least one red-zone target in each of the last four games.
Carter also brings an added dimension to this prop as a returner, so it’s just another way he could potentially score.
At these odds, we just have to take a shot on Herbert.
He has yet to rush for a touchdown this season, but he did register eight of them over his first two seasons. The 49ers have given up two rushing scores to quarterbacks within the five-yard line. Stafford scored on them in Week 8, as did Marcus Mariota in Week 6.
Austin Ekeler is obviously the main threat in this offense and will command plenty of attention, so it's worth the play at +1200.
