To wrap up this NFL Sunday slate, the Los Angeles Chargers travel to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs, who are riding high with a record of 11-1 ahead of Sunday Night Football Week 14. Kickoff for SNF is set for 8:20 p.m. ET and will broadcast on NBC and Peacock.
Let’s get into my three Chargers vs. Chiefs player props and my NFL picks for Sunday Night Football.
Chargers vs. Chiefs Player Props for Sunday Night Football
- Will Dissly Over 37.5 Receiving Yards (-110, bet365)
- DeAndre Hopkins Anytime Touchdown (+230, Caesars)
- Ladd McConkey Over 4.5 Receptions (-145, bet365)
- Ladd McConkey 100+ Receiving Yards (+425, bet365)
Will Dissly Over 37.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
We’re getting a really nice, low receiving yard total on Will Dissly this Sunday, thanks in part to last week when we saw Dissly not part of the game plan for the Chargers despite being active.
That was down to missing practice during the week and he ended up with just a sole target.
This is a real "get-right" game for him, as he'll face a Chiefs defense giving up a league-high 942 yards to tight ends, an average of 78.5 yards per game.
Before last week’s horror show, Dissly averaged 4.8 targets per game and an impressive 9.7 yards per catch. Against a Chiefs defense with a weakness to TEs, we should see him cover.
DeAndre Hopkins Anytime Touchdown (+230)
When the Chiefs traded for DeAndre Hopkins, it felt like they’d got the receiver that could put them over the top and be a huge difference-maker this season following the Rashee Rice injury.
It hasn’t really gone as planned with D-Hop racking up just three touchdowns for this new team.
However, there’s room for optimism. One of those touchdowns came a fortnight ago and he’s now tied with Xavier Worthy for red-zone targets despite playing fewer games, and behind only Travis Kelce overall.
Last week, Hopkins saw nine targets, tied for his most in a Chiefs jersey, and he’ll continue to be somebody that Patrick Mahomes look for in the red zone.
At +230, you’re getting an excellent price on him scoring.
Ladd McConkey Over 4.5 Receptions (-145)
Despite having a questionable tag, we’re expecting to see Ladd McConkey play — and if he does suit up as expected, then he’s surely going to rack up five catches.
The rookie has really grown as the season has developed, slowly becoming Justin Herbert’s go-to guy. He’s not scoring often, with just four touchdowns on the season, but he’s consistently moving the chains for the Chargers.
He's had five or more catches in six of the past seven games, with the only exception being against a very good Titans secondary, in a game in which his team leaned on J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards.
Last week, McConkey caught nine of 12 targets, a season high and continued to be integral to the offense.
Ladd McConkey 100+ Receiving Yards (+425)
At a big price, we’re going to double down on McConkey and back the former Georgia man to have 100+ receiving yards.
It’s far from a lock, but he’s had three 100+ receiving-yard games in his last six outings, including two in the past three weeks.
Given what we’ve seen from him lately, it’s worth a small sprinkle at +425.
