Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers hit the road after kicking off the Jim Harbaugh era with a 22-10 win over the rival Raiders. They bulldozed Las Vegas on the ground in typical Harbaugh fashion, running for 176 yards while pitching a second-half shutout on the defensive end.

Justin Herbert wasn’t asked to do as much as he has in the past but was efficient, completing 17-of-26 passes for 146 yards and one touchdown.

Carolina Panthers

Our first look. at this year’s Panthers looked an awful lot like last year’s version as they were blown out by the Saints, 47-10.

Last year’s No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young struggled to kick off his sophomore campaign, going 13-for-30 for 161 yards, no touchdowns and two picks. He even threw an interception on his first pass attempt of the season.

Meanwhile, a defense that gave up the fourth-most points per game a year ago (24.5) gave up nearly twice as much while also allowing 379 yards of total offense.
