The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are riddled with injuries on the offensive side of the ball.
Wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) and tight end Rob Gronkowski (ribs) have already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Washington Football Team, but Chris Godwin will reportedly give it a go, per Greg Auman of The Athletic.
Godwin injured his foot last week against the New Orleans Saints and sat out of practice for most of the week before returning on Friday.
The Action Network's Samantha Previte weighed in on how Godwin's updated status will affect the fantasy football value of the rest of Tampa Bay's players, including Tom Brady and Mike Evans.
Chris Godwin Fantasy Football Impact
"Godwin should be considered an elite WR1 this week if he plays. The targets should be there with Brown likely sidelined and the matchup is extremely favorable.
The Buccaneers face off against Washington this week, whose defense, in spite of playing better of late, has allowed the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers this year.
Quarterback Tom Brady, Godwin and Mike Evans et al. should feast in this soft matchup."
Evans currently checks in at WR5 in The Action Network's updated fantasy football Week 10 rankings in standard scoring leagues, while Brady sits at QB4 in this juicy matchup.
Managers desperate at wide receiver could take a flier on Tyler Johnson, who currently sits at WR52.
According to the latest NFL odds, Tampa Bay is currently a 9.5-point favorite over Washington, with the total sitting at 51.
