Christian McCaffrey's record setting anytime touchdown streak of 17 has ended on Sunday vs. the Jaguars.

McCaffrey had tied the NFL record with Colts running back and wide receiver Lenny Moore, who accomplished the feat from 1963-64.

Including the playoffs — and dating nearly a full calendar year — McCaffrey scored at least once in every game he played.

A $100 per game bettor would have been up about $1,000 — including today's loss at -165 odds. Ironically, his teammates got in the end zone plenty on Sunday. But the 49ers weren't presented with many opportunities inside the 10-yard line — where McCaffrey thrives. Each of the 49ers' touchdowns occurred on plays of 13 yards or more, with a 22-yard pass to Kyle Juszczyk, a 23-yard run by Deebo Samuel and a 66-yard pass to George Kittle.

The last time McCaffrey failed to score a touchdown? Week 11 in the 2022 season, when the 49ers beat the Saints 13-0.

The 49ers tried their best, though. Even up 34-3 with a slew of backups in the game, Kyle Shanahan left McCaffrey in the game — and absolutely force fed him, going for a 4th-and-5 from the 30-yard line and a 4th-and-goal from the 5-yard line in order to try to make NFL history. Every snap went to McCaffrey the last five plays in Jaguars territory.
