The Cincinnati Bengals (0-3) and Carolina Panthers (1-2) will kick off NFL Week 4's Sunday afternoon slate. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. The game will be broadcast live on FOX and can be streamed on platforms like YouTube TV.

The Bengals are consensus 5-point favorites over the Panthers, with the game total set at 47 points. The spread opened at 6.5, while the total has only gone up one point to 47. Cincinnati has already lost twice this season as a favorite of 7.5 or more points and needs a win to keep its season alive. Joe Burrow has played well the past two weeks, but it's been all for naught.

The Panthers have hope after Andy Dalton took over for Bryce Young and led them to a road win over the Raiders. Dalton threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns but lost wide receiver Adam Thielen for the foreseeable future because of a hamstring injury.

Let's get into my Bengals vs. Panthers prediction and my NFL picks and predictions for Week 4.

My Bengals vs. Panthers best bet is on Cincinnati. For all of your NFL bets, be sure to find the best lines by using our live NFL odds page.

Spread

I'm not giving up on the Bengals. I'm laying the points and betting Cincinnati this week on the road against the Panthers.

Moneyline

I'm focused on betting the spread and not the Bengals moneyline.

Over/Under

I have no bet on the total for this game.

My Pick: Bengals -4.5

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Carolina Panthers NFL Week 4 Preview

This line is simply a ridiculous overreaction to Week 3.

The Panthers delivered a “Kitchen Sink” game to remember against the Raiders. I think that result might be more about the Raiders, though, than it is about Carolina.

On the other side, everyone has left the Bengals for dead at 0-3. This line was Bengals -7.5 on Sunday morning, but it has moved by a field goal? I’m not sure enough happened over the weekend for that much movement to have occurred.

These teams are pretty much the same as they were last season. So far this year, the Panthers are 31st in Offensive DVOA and 21st in Defensive DVOA. They were 31st and 25th last year. The Bengals were 11th on offense and 23rd on defense last year. They’re fifth and 24th this year.

The Bengals offense is going to score, and the Panthers defense is not good. That’s especially the case without defensive tackle Derrick Brown.

There’s a chance that Andy Dalton’s impact has been overblown and it was an overblown week. Also, veteran receiver Adam Thielen is out for the foreseeable future.

Also, trends favor Burrow. He’s 14-7-1 against the spread coming off of a loss, including a 79% clip on the road.

Pick: Bengals -4.5
