This article contains predictions for an old game.

The Cleveland Browns (1-4) and Philadelphia Eagles (2-2) will kick off the NFL Week 6 Sunday afternoon slate. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on FOX. The game can be streamed on YouTube TV and other streaming services.

The Eagles are consensus 8.5-point favorites over the Browns on the spread (Eagles -8.5), with the over/under currently set at 42 points. Philadelphia is -440 to win outright on the moneyline, while Cleveland is +340 to pull off the upset.

The Browns, who lost 34-13 to the Commanders last week, have yet to score more than 17 points in a game this season as Deshaun Watson's struggles continue. He has five touchdowns and three interceptions through five games. The Eagles are coming off their bye week, and there is optimism that wide receiver A.J. Brown will return after missing three games.

Let's get into my Browns vs. Eagles prediction and my NFL picks and predictions for Week 6.

Browns vs. Eagles Expert Picks

Spread

I'm not laying 9.5 points on Philly for the entire game, but I will bet on the Eagles to comfortably win the first half.

Moneyline

I'm not betting any moneylines in this game.

Over/Under

I don't see an edge on the total for this game.

My pick: Eagles 1H -4.5

Browns vs. Eagles NFL Week 6

This is a great spot to invest the Eagles.

Philadelphia is coming out of its bye week and getting a few key faces back on offense. Left tackle Lane Johnson is set to return, as are wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Also, the break coming early in the season might be more important for the coaching staff. Philly has two new coordinators this season in Kellen Moore on offense and Vic Fangio on defense. Getting a chance to further settle in and figure things out will no doubt be a positive.

In addition, getting two weeks to prepare for Deshaun Watson seems unfair.

I’m actively seeking ways to fade Watson and the Browns. Cleveland is averaging 3.8 yards per play this season, which is last in the NFL. The next-lowest team is at 4.3.

Aside from Watson’s salary, I’m not sure how there hasn’t been a quarterback change here.

Eagles -9.5 for the whole game is too high for me to invest in. There are a lot of trends that say fading Cleveland in the first half is the way to go, and it’ll get you under the key numbers of 6 and 7.

The Browns are 1-4 against the spread (ATS) in the first half this season and have been outscored 75-16 in those four games. The Eagles are 0-4 ATS in the first half and have yet to score in the first quarter.

That’s exactly the sort of thing I would expect Moore to have addressed during the bye week. Philadelphia should come out with scripted plays early that should get it going on the right track.

Pick: Eagles 1H -4.5
