Browns vs. Seahawks odds have Seattle laying four points in Week 8. The Seahawks are -200 favorites to win on the moneyline, and the Browns are +170 underdogs with the over/under set at 38.5.
The Browns will be without Deshaun Watson again, having won back-to-back games with P.J. Walker at the helm. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are very much in the thick of the NFC playoff race and need every win to fight the 49ers in the NFC West.
Our Browns vs Seahawks pick is on the road 'dog to cover this afternoon.
The Browns have been a bizarre team to watch this year. Their defense is the best in the NFL by most metrics, but they are coming off a game in which they gave up 38 points to Gardner Minshew and the Colts that included two 50+ yard TD passes. Their offense lost Nick Chubb early in the season and has been without Deshaun Watson for almost a month, but they are now 2-0 in the PJ Walker era.
When Watson went down, it looked like a disaster for the Browns. Rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson came in and looked absolutely lost in a walloping from their division rival Ravens. The Browns decided to elevate Walker after that game and immediately beat the undefeated 49ers the next week in a game where the defense did most of the heavy lifting.
However, next time out against the Colts, the defense played their worst game of the season and still managed to get the takeaways necessary to propel this team to another victory.

For the Seahawks, it has been a very under-the-radar season. There was a lot of apprehension as to whether Geno Smith and this team could repeat their success from last year. They picked up a great road win early in the season against the Lions. However, since then they have picked up wins against arguably three of the worst teams in the league the Giants, Cardinals and Panthers.
Their success has gotten them into the top 10 in overall DVOA, however, they are 32nd in strength of schedule per DVOA.
Overall, it is safe to say that we don’t quite know how good this Seahawks team is. Per DVOA, they have a top-10 offense in the NFL but the best defense they have faced so far is the Lions, who are slightly fraudulent in my opinion.
Outside of the Lions, every defense they have faced is 19th in the league or worse in defensive DVOA. When it comes to the rush, things are even worse. Outside of the Lions, they have faced five of the bottom-nine rush defenses in the league.
I think this Seahawks offense is in for a rude awakening against the Browns. Myles Garrett and the pass rush should get to them and create negative plays, the Browns run defense should absolutely swarm Kenneth Walker III any time he touches the ball and they should be able to cover the weapons on the back end.
For the Browns' offense, Walker is certainly just a short-term fill-in and not a long-term option. However, he is not any worse than the likes of Joshua Dobbs, Daniel Jones, Bryce Young and even 2023 Joe Burrow that the Seahawks have faced the last four weeks.
Those four quarterbacks in all in the bottom seven of EPA + CPOE composite this season. Only Mac Jones, Zach Wilson and Kenny Pickett are in the same grouping as those four quarterbacks that the Seahawks have faced the past four weeks.

Betting Picks & Predictions
The Browns go into this game with a far superior defense, a better special teams unit and an offense that is not as big of a drop-off as one might think from the Seahawks. They will come into this game with a good offensive game plan to take care of the ball and control the clock through their rushing attack.
This game should stay very low-scoring and the Browns defense adding a score would not be surprising to me in the slightest. This is a field goal game in either direction.
