The Cleveland Browns (1-3) and Washington Commanders (3-1) will kick off on Sunday afternoon in NFL Week 5. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Md., on FOX, and the game can be streamed on YouTube TV and other streaming platforms.
The Commanders are consensus 3-point favorites over the Browns (Commanders -3) after the spread opened at Browns -3 before the season. The over/under is 43.5 after opening at that number. The Commanders are -160 favorites to win outright, with the Browns are +135 to pull off the upset.
The Browns lost 20-16 last week to the Raiders. Cleveland hasn't scored more than 17 points this season. Deshaun Watson is averaging 4.9 yards per pass attempt and has 4 touchdowns to 3 interceptions through 4 games. The Commanders beat the Cardinals 42-14 last week and are in first place in the NFC East. Jayden Daniels is the favorite for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, completing 82.1% of his passes and averaging 8.5 yards per pass attempt.

Browns vs. Commanders NFL Week 5
This is the absolute top of the market for the Commanders. It’s probably not getting any better than this for them.
I’m not going to sit here and act like Jayden Daniels hasn’t been incredible so far this season. He only has one interception this season, and the Commanders offense looks great.
The matchups have been in Washington’s favor this season, though.
After losing to the Buccaneers to start the season, the Commanders had the ultimate get-right spot in Week 2 against the Giants. Then Washington went into Cincinnati and Daniels lit up a Bengals defense that has one of the worst defensive lines in the NFL. With that, the Commanders established the run and set Daniels up for success.
Then, last week against the Cardinals, Daniels lit up one of the worst defenses in the NFL. This could not have been an easier path for the No. 2 overall pick to look like a star.
It’s worth noting that Deshaun Watson was OK last week against the Raiders, and he had an 82-yard touchdown taken off the board late in the fourth quarter because of a questionable penalty. The Browns still have all kinds of offensive weapons, and David Njoku returned to practice this week.
It’s the Commanders defense, though, and this is one of the worst defenses in the NFL. This isn’t the unit you’d be betting on if you wanted to bet on Washington. This will be a test for the Commanders defense that won’t be as easy as you may think.
Pick: Browns +3.5
