With next week's Indianapolis Colts-Kansas City Chiefs matchup basically set halfway through yesterday's Colts-Texans game, oddsmakers were quick to open betting lines for Saturday's Divisional Round game.
Low-limit openers from a handful of sportsbooks posted the Chiefs as 4-point favorites over the Colts and an over/under of 52.5.
Bettors did not waste time before jumping on the Chiefs and the over.
In fact, even after bettors showed their hands on how they'd play those openers, other market-setting books followed suit by opening Kansas City at -4 as well.
And just like the books that posted this game earlier, Chiefs money immediately hit the favorite and pushed the spread to -5, which is now the consensus around the market.
Bettors also took advantage of the total, moving the number from 52.5 all the way up to between 56 and 56.5, depending on the sportsbook.
At the time of writing, spread action is split exactly 50/50, but that's not the case for the over/under — 82% of tickets wagered on the total have taken the over.
While there was a flurry of activity immediately after oddsmakers posted lines for Colts-Chiefs, it's important to note that limits are still very low and will continue to increase throughout the week.
