Aaron Rodgers is either one of the best trolls of all time or he's actually about to make a comeback.

It has been just over eight weeks since Rodgers tore his Achilles during the first drive of the first game of the season for the New York Jets.

Everybody assumed the four-time NFL MVP would be done for the season. But Rodgers never ruled out a return.

Over the last two weeks, Rodgers has been warming up with the Jets, which has included throwing balls to his teammates and three-step dropbacks.

What happened after the Chargers-Jets Monday Night Football feature might have been even more telling. While meeting with members of the Chargers, ESPN microphones picked up Derwin James asking Rodgers, "When are you coming back?" To which Rodgers responded, "A few weeks."

With the potential of what felt like an impossible return to the field this season, people have begun placing bets on Rodgers to win Comeback Player of the Year.

Damar Hamlin has been the favorite to win Comeback Player of the Year since the odds opened, but his odds have slowly been getting worse. Hamlin has only appeared in one game this season. He is currently -115 to win the award at BetMGM.

Tua Tagovailoa has been gaining steam as a possible Comeback Player of the Year as well. He is currently +175 to win the award at BetMGM.

If Rodgers can make a return, he will likely become one of the favorites. Rodgers is currently +2500 to win Comeback Player of the Year. He is getting 3.2% of the bets and accounts for 4.2% of the handle at BetMGM.
