Cooper Kupp went off for Los Angeles in Week 1, catching 14 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown in the Rams overtime loss to the Lions.

The markets certainly took notice.

Kupp’s Offensive Player of the Year odds skyrocketed after his performance, going from +8000 to +1700 at DraftKings. He now has the ninth-best odds behind Tyreek Hill (+550), Christian McCaffrey (+900), Saquon Barkley (+900), CeeDee Lamb (+1000), Justin Jefferson (+1400), Breece Hall (+1500), Bijan Robinson (+1500) and Ja’Marr Chase (+1600).

Kupp won the award in 2021 with a season for the ages, He became only the fifth wide receiver in NFL history to win the triple crown, leading the league in catches (145), receiving yards (1,947) and touchdown receptions (16). He became just the third wide receiver at the time to win the award, joining Jerry Rice and Michael Thomas. Justin Jefferson became the fourth in 2022.

Unfortunately, Kupp’s missed extensive time due to injuries over the past two seasons. He appeared in only nine games in 2022, catching 75 passes for 812 yards and six touchdowns while appearing in 12 games in 2023, totaling 59 receptions for 737 yards and five touchdowns.

Kupp’s dip in production last year could also be attributed to sharing the field with Puka Nacua, who surprised everyone by setting rookie records for receptions (105) and receiving yards (1,486). However, Nacua will miss at least four games as he was placed on IR with a knee injury Monday, meaning Kupp will have plenty of chances to feast in his absence.
