We’re set for a compelling NFL Week 5 Sunday Night Football clash between the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers set for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.  The Cowboys are 2-2 and hope to continue winning against a Steelers team that comes in off the back of their first loss of the season.

I'm all over Cowboys vs. Steelers player props for Sunday Night Football, with four SNF props that target various markets, including receptions, receiving yards, and an anytime touchdown scorer.

Sam Farley's Bills vs. Ravens Player Props for SNF

  • Justin Fields Anytime Touchdown (+160, bet365)
  • George Pickens Over 4.5 Receptions (+115, DraftKings)

Justin Fields

Anytime Touchdown (+160)

The Cowboys defense comes into this game banged up but their biggest weakness remains again the run. Only six teams have allowed more rushing yards per game than the Cowboys, which instantly makes Justin Fields look like a play. Fields has been very effective this season and his team is winning games, even if he’s not been great with his arm.

Fields’ rushing yard line sits at 47.5, which is a number he’s beaten twice this season. You’d think he’d cover that but the anytime touchdown feels like a smarter bet at far bigger odds. Fields has three rushing touchdowns in his past two games and will have designed plays to take advantage of this defense.

Pick: Justin Fields Anytime Touchdown (+160)

George Pickens

Over 4.5 Receptions (+115)

It’s been four weeks and George Pickens is still without a touchdown but he’s still finding ways to show how talented he is as a receiver. Last week he had 113 receiving yards and he may very well go for similar again, but it’s just so risky when Fields is under center.

We’ve seen Pickens get heavily targeted by Fields. Last week he had 11 targets and has had seven or more in three of four weeks, in those weeks he’s also caught at least five passes. Given the volatility in Fields’ passing it feels like a safer play to focus on Pickens’ receptions over yardage, especially at plus money.

Pick: George Pickens Over 4.5 Receptions (+115)

Rico Dowdle

Over 13.5 Receiving Yards (-120)

The Steelers have given up the third-fewest yards on the ground per game and we can’t rely on Rico Dowdle or an aging Ezekiel Elliott to do well in the rushing game. That said, we have seen Dowdle look impressive when used as a pass catcher.

He caught his sole target for 15 yards last week but had five targets in each of the two weeks before that. He’s had Over 13.5 receiving yards in the past three weeks, and with the Cowboys’ likely struggling on the ground, they’ll look to get the ball into Dowdle’s hands through the air. He’s averaging 8.2 yards per catch his season and will only need one or two catches to clear this line.

Pick: Rico Dowdle Over 13.5 Receiving Yards (-120)
