The Dallas Cowboys (3-4) and Atlanta Falcons (5-3) will begin the Sunday afternoon slate of NFL Week 9 at 1 p.m. ET from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The game will be live on FOX and can be streamed on YouTube TV and other services. The Falcons are 3-point favorites over the Cowboys (Falcons -3, -120) with the game total set at 51.5 points, which is the highest of Week 9. Atlanta is -170 on the moneyline to win outright, while Dallas is +145 to pull off the upset.
The Falcons beat the Buccaneers 31-26 last week. Kirk Cousins threw for 276 yards and 4 touchdowns against Tampa Bay, and the Falcons have won 4 of their last 5 games. The Cowboys lost to the 49ers 30-24 last week. Dak Prescott continues to struggle with 6 interceptions in the last 3 games. Ezekiel Elliott is going to be inactive and will miss this game due to a disciplinary issue.
Let's get into my Cowboys vs. Falcons predictions and NFL picks for Week 9.

I'm taking the three points with the Cowboys this week. I'm not sold on the Falcons, and this is a good matchup for Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense.
Moneyline
I'm happy to take the field goal with the Cowboys instead of betting their moneyline.
Over/Under
I have no pick for this game total.

NFL Week 9: Cowboys vs. Falcons Preview
This is a spot to back the Cowboys. Coming off a road loss under Mike McCarthy, Dak Prescott is 14-7 against the spread (ATS) coming off a loss.
Overall, I’m not sold on this Falcons team. I think Atlanta really thrived in these two recent matchups against a banged-up Buccaneers defense. In those two games, Kirk Cousins averaged 392 passing yards per game with eight touchdowns to one interception. The Falcons also put up 38 points against the Panthers, but that’s nothing to write home about.
There are a lot of teams that are mediocre in the NFC, and I’m putting the Falcons in as one of them.
One reason for that is the Atlanta defense. The Falcons defense does not create pressure and it doesn’t get sacks. This unit ranks in the bottom three of the NFL in pressure rate, as per usual.
What this means is that Prescott is going to be throwing from a clean pocket. Dallas is unlikely to have anything that resembles an efficient run game, so that will be crucial for this offense. The Cowboys will have to win things through the air here without a reliable ground game, and they have the matchup to do it.
The Cowboys defense, meanwhile, is still getting a bit of pressure without Micah Parsons. This is a great matchup for Dallas to come out aggressively on defense against Kirk Cousins, who is a statue in the pocket. Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer knows Cousins well and will look to create more havoc than usual against him.
Overall, this is potentially the highest Atlanta will be in the market. The Falcons have beaten up on divisional foes at good times in the schedule for them. Even if they beat the Cowboys, I’m not going to think any higher of them than I did before the game. That means this is a spot to fade them.
Pick: Cowboys +3 (-105)
