NFL Week 4 kicks off with an NFC East rivalry on Thursday Night Football between the Dallas Cowboys (1-2) and the New York Giants (1-2).
I have value on five player props for this Cowboys vs. Giants matchup that begins at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video on Thursday, Sept. 26.
With that in mind, let's dive into my Cowboys vs. Giants player props for QB Dak Prescott, WR Malik Nabers and more.
Sam Farley's Cowboys vs Giants Player Props
- Malik Nabers Over 6.5 Receptions (+102, FanDuel)
- Dak Prescott Over 264.5 Passing Yards (-110, bet365)
- Dak Prescott Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-125, FanDuel)
- Rico Dowdle Over 39.5 Rushing Yards (-110, bet365)
- Rico Dowdle 100+ Rushing Yards (+1100, FanDuel)
It’s been a disappointing season for the Giants and their fanbase so far, but one shining light has been their rookie, Nabers.
The former LSU man has been a monster. He’s averaging 12 targets, 90 yards and one touchdown per game and is a volume hog.
He only caught five passes in his first game in the NFL, but he's had 10 and eight since then and should be able to cover his reception line, despite facing a good defense.
Nabers looks primed for a historic season, so back him to have another big performance.
Pick: Malik Nabers Over 6.5 Receptions (+102)
It hasn't been the best start to the season for Prescott, who has yet to have a QB Rating over 100 and has thrown four touchdown passes to two interceptions.
That said, he’s improved as the season has progressed, and last week, he threw for 379 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
This line sits at 264.5, a number he’s covered in the past two weeks.
The Giants have only been averaging 186.2 passing yards against this season, but we need to consider that they’ve faced Sam Darnold, Deshaun Watson and Jayden Daniels, who have flattered the Giants’ secondary.
Pick: Dak Prescott Over 264.5 Passing Yards (-110)
We’re doubling down on Dak here and backing him to throw two or more touchdown passes for the second successive week.
We know how dynamic this Cowboys offense can be when it gets rolling, and last week’s performance against the Ravens gives us confidence that Dallas should have no trouble against the Giants.
Pick: Dak Prescott Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-125)
As much as we’re expecting the Cowboys to have a lot of success against the Giants through the air, it’s also worth backing running back Rico Dowdle to rush for over 39.5 yards.
His highest rushing performance of the season to date has been just 32 yards, but we're likely to see an increase.
In Week 3, it looked like Dowdle might be taking over the Cowboys' backfield as he had double the carries and snap count of Ezekiel Elliott.
An increase in volume would be good news against the Giants, who've allowed an average of 131.7 rushing yards per game this season.
Pick: Rico Dowdle Over 39.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
This is only a little sprinkle, but if the ground game really works for the Cowboys — or they're trying to run the clock — then there’s a chance we could see Dowdle really accumulate some yards.
Aaron Jones rushed for nearly 100 yards (94) while Brian Robinson Jr. managed 133 yards on the ground against this defense.
If Dowdle really seizes the backfield and the game script allows for it, then the huge odds on a 100-yard game could be a great value.
Pick: Rico Dowdle 100+ Rushing Yards (+1100)
