The Cowboys (7-8) and Eagles (12-3) face off in NFL Week 17 at 1 p.m. EST from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The game will be broadcast live on FOX and can be streamed on platforms like YouTube TV.

Let's get into my Eagles vs Cowboys predictions and NFL picks.

The Eagles are favored by 7.5 points scored with the game total set at 38 points scored. The Eagles are -375 favorites to win outright, while the Cowboys are +300 to pull off the upset.

Don't look now, but the Cowboys have won 4 of their last 5 games after beating the Buccaneers 26-24 last week as home underdogs. Cooper Rush is playing better of late and threw for 292 yards and a touchdown against Tampa Bay. The Eagles, meanwhile, blew a 2-score lead in the fourth quarter in a loss to the Commanders last week. Philadelphia needs a win to clinch the NFC East, and it'll have to do so with Kenny Pickett starting in place of the injured Jalen Hurts.

Cowboys vs. Eagles Prediction

Spread

I didn't think we'd ever get another chance to fade Kenny Pickett, but here we are.

The former Steelers quarterback is set to start in place of Jalen Hurts, so I'm taking the points with the Cowboys.

Over/Under

I'm not betting the total. The Cowboys offense is playing better but will be without CeeDee Lamb, while Pickett has a very low ceiling.

My Pick: Cowboys +7.5

Cowboys vs. Eagles Betting Preview

  • The Cowboys are 6-9 against the spread this season.
  • The Cowboys have covered the spread in 4 of their last 5 games.
  • The Eagles are 9-6 against the spread this season.
  • The Eagles have covered the spread in 5 of their last 7 games.

Cowboys vs. Eagles Picks

With Jalen Hurts ruled out due to a concussion, Kenny Pickett is getting the start — and I'm beyond excited to get another chance to fade him.

I have the difference between Hurts and Pickett as about 4.5 points against the spread. That’s quite noteworthy — you saw how the Eagles blew a two-possession lead last week after Pickett took over for Hurts.

Pickett took over and threw for 143 yards on 24 attempts with a touchdown and interception. The Commanders defense is not one to write home about, and Pickett simply did not take advantage.

The way to beat Philadelphia without Hurts is clear: Stack the box and take away Saquon Barkley.

Pickett is limited in his ability to throw outside the hashes, so focus on containing Barkley (easier said than done) and make Pickett beat you.

Also, the Cowboys are playing a lot better. Yes, CeeDee Lamb is out for the season, but they beat the Buccaneers last week and destroyed the Panthers the week before. It’s obvious that Dallas is not going to give a mediocre effort even though its season is over.

Offensively, Lamb is a big loss, but Cooper Rush is playing better and Rico Dowdle has activated the running game over the past few weeks. I would’ve liked to see what this team could’ve done with Dak Prescott and its defense healthy.

My Pick: Cowboys +7.5; Bet to +7
