Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Davante Adams has been traded to the New YorkJets.

According to Rapoport, the Las Vegas Raiders will receive a conditional fourth-round pick that can turn into a second-round pick. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the conditions on that pick are tied to Adams' performance for the rest of the season. If he is named first or second-team All-Pro, or if the Jets make it to the AFC Championship game with Adams on the roster, the pick will become a second rounder.

The Jets (2-3) were the favorites to land the disgruntled wide receiver via trade after Adams reportedly told the team that he wanted to be moved due to a souring relationship with Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce.

Adams and Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers have a deep history. The two played together for eight seasons in Green Bay and Rodgers reportedly pushed for the Jets to add the dynamic receiver when he became available for a trade. Adams had two of the best seasons of his career with Rodgers as his quarterback on the Packers, setting career-highs for receiving touchdowns (18 in 2020), receptions (123 in 2021) and receiving yards (1,553 in 2021).

The Jets are coming off a tough loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football and recently fired head coach Robert Saleh, who had been with the team since the 2021 season. Offense has been a major concern for the team. Through six games, the Jets rank 16th overall in passing yards per game (217.2) and 23rd overall in points per game (18.8).

The Jets play on Sunday Night Football in Pittsburgh in Week 7 and are 1.5-point road favorites at most sportsbooks and as high as -2 at ESPNBet. The total sits between 37 and 37.5 depending on the sportsbook.

Impact on Jets Super Bowl, Playoff Odds

The trade didn't improve Gang Green's Super Bowl betting odds much. According to DraftKings the Jets were 30-1 before and after the trade, but their odds to win the AFC shortened slightly from +1500 to +1300.

Their odds to make the playoffs were also unaffected by the trade (+155 before and after), but their odds to win the AFC East, which took a hit in last night's loss to the Bills, moved from +700 to +650.
