The Green Bay Packers play their biggest game of the season and the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football and may be without star wide receiver Davante Adams.

ESPN's NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported Monday that Adams landed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. His status for Week 8 is currently in flux.

In order for Adams to clear, he needs to be fully vaccinated; be asymptomatic; and test negative twice with 24 hours in between.

The market quickly adjusted, pushing the Cardinals from -4 to -6 at DraftKings. The total, meanwhile, cratered from 53.5 to 50.5.

The Action Network's Samantha Previte offered a quick note on where fantasy football  managers should turn.

"Allen Lazard to the moon," she said. "He should be the top wide receiver waiver add this week, at 4% rostered in Yahoo! leagues. He was already in my column after picking up at least five targets and a TD in consecutive games.

It's also a mild downgrade for Aaron Rodgers and could mean more targets for Randall Cobb and Robert Tonyan."

To call Adams' absence important would be an understatement.

He and quarterback Aaron Rodgers have formed the most lethal tandem over the last few years. They've hooked up 52 times for 744 yards this season.

Adams' 52 receptions is double that of the next closest receiver — running back Aaron Jones. Meanwhile, not a single pass catcher on the rosters has piled up more than 200 yards through the air in 2021.

Adams went off for 115 catches and 18 touchdowns a season ago, while notching more than 1,300 yards for the second time in his career.

Green Bay has coasted since getting obliterated in Week 1. The team has ripped off six straight wins and covers, most recently a 24-10 victory over Washington.

Arizona, meanwhile, is the lone undefeated team in the NFL.

The Cardinals picked up a blowout win against the Texans last Sunday, easily covering as 17-point favorites.

They're also 6-1 against the spread this season.
