Derek Carr said his goodbyes to the Las Vegas Raiders on Twitter Thursday.
It's an imminent departure for the veteran starting quarterback, who spent all nine seasons with the franchise.
But competent teams around the league need a quarterback, and Carr will find a job soon enough.
In a betting landscape where we can wager on where players will land next, it begs the question: Which team will Carr play for at the start of the 2023 NFL regular season?
Derek Carr to the Colts: +400
The 2022 NFL season was the "Year of the Declining Quarterback."
Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers and others are prime examples, but the Matt Ryan experience in Indianapolis was a flat-out disaster for a franchise that's opened the season with a new quarterback for five straight years.
The Colts could make a move in the draft, but the goal is consistent: Find a signal-caller.
Derek Carr to the Jets: +400
Robert Saleh and Derek Carr would be a solid pairing, right?
The Jets need a spark offensively because they have it almost everywhere else.
New York has drafted well and set up a solid foundation. Carr in the fold would automatically give the Jets a higher floor, especially after they totaled 15 points in their final three regular-season games.
