It all started so great for Derrick Henry’s backers.
He ran for 17 yards on the opening drive, ending it with a five-yard score that clinched his anytime TD (-125) and first TD scorer (+550) props. The latter was the most popular prop of the entire game
All Henry had to do was rush for another 47 yards over the final 53 minutes and 14 seconds to hit his over on rushing yards. The public was all over Henry going over 63.5 yards with 99% of the money at BetMGM backing it.
Unfortunately, it ended up being a bloodbath for the public.
Henry mustered a mere 29 yards the rest of the way as his 46 yards on the night fell well short of his set line.
It’s a performance not many expected when Baltimore landed Henry in free agency. However, perhaps they shouldn’t have been surprised as he had under 46 yards in seven games a year ago for the Titans.
Henry might have struggled on the ground in Kansas City, but Lamar Jackson certainly did not. The reigning MVP ran the ball 16 times for 122 yards, passing Russell Wilson (5,307) for the most rushing yards by a quarterback in NFL history with 5,380. He’s on pace to pass Cam Newton (5,628) and Michael Vick (6,109) to become the new record holder. It was the 14th time Jackson had at least 100 yards on the ground in a game, which is also the most in NFL history.
