Deshaun Watson has not donned an NFL uniform since being the subject of 22 civil lawsuits that accuse him of actions ranging from harassment to sexual assault during massage sessions.
On Friday, a grand jury concluded criminal proceedings in Harris County by ruling "no" on nine criminal complaints filed against Watson.
Watson still has civil suits against him, but the window for a trade is now open with criminal charges not filed.
According to ESPN, those trade talks are expected to "ramp up, quickly." Multiple teams are interested.
In all likelihood, Watson will not be returning to the Houston Texans despite signing a four-year, $156 million contract in 2020. He demanded a trade last offseason before any of the allegations surfaced.
Odds were posted earlier in the offseason for Watson's next team, with the Texans +1000 to keep him. The Commanders moved into the most likely landing spot at +300.
Odds for which team Watson ends up playing for were posted by DraftKings but are now off the board.
Those odds were only available in New Jersey, West Virginia, Indiana, New Hampshire, Colorado, Michigan and Illinois.
