The Detroit Lions (1-1) face the ArizonaCardinals (1-1) in the late-afternoon NFL Week 3 slate Sunday. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. The Lions are 3-point favorites with the game total set at 51.5, which is the highest of Week 3. Detroit is a -150 favorite on the moneyline, while Arizona is +125 to pull off the upset. The game will be broadcast live on FOX and can be streamed on platforms like YouTube TV.
The Lions have been unconvincing to start the season after a 1-1 start through two home games. Jared Goff hasn't gotten going and the Detroit offense has especially struggled in the red zone so far. Arizona, meanwhile, has showed tons of promise so far this season. Kyler Murray is playing like an MVP candidate, while Marvin Harrison Jr. broke out with two touchdowns last week in a win over the Rams.
Let's get into my Lions vs. Cardinals prediction for Sunday afternoon and my NFL picks and predictions for Week 3.

Lions vs. Cardinals: NFL Week 3 Picks
By Matt Trebby
Kyler Murray has been electric this season. The speedster's stats jump off the page through two games.
Murray is completing 73.1% of passes so far this season on 8.2 yards per attempt. He has four touchdowns to no interceptions, and he has also run for 116 yards.
Marvin Harrison Jr. broke out in Week 2 with two touchdowns against the Rams. He's Arizona's leading receiver through two games, although tight end Trey McBride leads the team with 11 receptions and 15 targets.
The Lions have not hit their stride on offense so far this season, although the ground game has been stout. David Montgomery has 126 rushing yards and Jahmyr Gibbs has 124.
Jared Goff and the passing game is what has held Detroit back. Goff has just one touchdown pass to three interceptions and is averaging 6.3 yards per attempt, which would be the lowest of his career since he started the 2017 season as the Rams' starting QB.
Best Bet for Lions vs. Cardinals
Both offenses have the edge here. Specifically, the Lions will look to attack the Cardinals secondary since the run defense has been elite so far this season, while the Lions also have been great against the run.
I like the under here, but I’m focused on backing the Lions. There are a few trends that have me looking to bet on Detroit, specifically Dan Campbell.
In Weeks 1-3 under Campbell, the Lions are 8-3 against the spread (ATS) and 15-9 ATS as a favorite overall. Also, as a head coach, Campbell is 17-9 ATS coming off of a loss as the Lions' head coach.
I like the Lions at -3, but I love them at -2.5. Hopefully, the public keeps backing Arizona and we get that number, but you can buy the one-half point if it doesn't.
Pick: Lions -2.5 (-120)
