A report on Monday indicated that Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has "no plans" to retire, but will undergo testing with neurologists to better understand the longterm implications of his fourth documented concussion in five seasons.

That goes along with an undiagnosed head injury that he suffered amidst a 2022 season in which he recorded two other major head injuries.

The report from NFL Network indicated that Tagovailoa would go to the specialists to also better understand the severity of his latest concussion, which he suffered on Thursday in a loss vs. the Bills.

Amid the news, Dolphins' future odds stabilized ever so slightly after going into free fall after his injury — and a blowout loss to a division rival.

The Dolphins are up to +480 to win the AFC East, down from an all-time low of +550 at FanDuel. Their odds to make the playoffs also got a little better, with a current mark of +116 to reach the postseason.

Futures on Tagovailoa himself haven't bounced back, however. He remains +10000 to win MVP, down from a high of about +1500 before his injury.

And the Dolphins' Super Bowl odds have stayed firm at +4000 at FanDuel, which is roughly middle of the pack across the NFL.

Tagovailoa will miss at least Week 3 vs. the Seahawks, if not far more time. The Seahawks are -5.5 home favorites against the Dolphins, who will sport third-year backup quarterback Skylar Thompson in Tagovailoa's absence.
