Monday Night Football Week 10 is here, as the Miami Dolphins (2-6) travel to face the Los Angeles Rams (4-4). Kickoff from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and Youtube TV.
Let's get to my Dolphins vs. Rams props and my NFL picks for Monday Night Football.
Sam Farley's Dolphins vs. Rams Player Props
- De’Von Achane Over 42.5 Receiving Yards (-114, FanDuel)
- De’Von Achane Anytime Touchdown (-110, Bet365)
- Puka Nacua Over 5.5 Receptions (-113, BetRivers)
De'Von Achane Over 42.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
With Tyreek Hill listed as a game-time decision, there’s been a lot of questions around who will be featured in the passing game if Hill is ruled out. One man who is getting fed, regardless of Hill’s status, is De’Von Achane.
Achane has played eight games this season and has cleared 42.5 receiving yards in four of them. That makes this feel like a coin toss, until you find out that all four of those games he went over are the four games that Tua Tagovailoa played in.
In games with Tagovailoa under center, we’ve seen Achane average 63 receiving yards. He gets far more volume too, averaging 7.5 targets per game with Tagovailoa and just three per game without him.
De'Von Achane Anytime Touchdown (-110)
Achane's stat lines improve across the board when Tua Tagovailoa is active. When the Dolphins QB1 plays, Achane tends to thrive.
In four games without Tagovailoa this season, Achane didn't score a touchdown. In the four games with Tagovailoa, he has five touchdowns.
Tagovailoa obviously targets Achane often in the passing game, which has been important with how inefficient Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle have been this season. On the ground, though, Achane is averaging 70 rushing yards per game in Tagovailoa's four starts and 35 without him.
When Tagovailoa is healthy, Achane's role in the Dolphins offense is enhanced. We'll back him to find his way into the end zone somehow on Monday Night Football.
Puka Nacua Over 5.5 Receptions (-113)
The Rams’ wide receivers room is finally healthy, and that’s coincided with their best performances of the year.
Last week, Puka Nacua was ejected against the Seahawks for throwing a punch in the second quarter. He only had one catch at that point but had already been targeted four times.
In his return from injury the week prior, Nacua caught seven of nine targets. He continues to be a real volume hog alongside Cooper Kupp, for Matthew Stafford.
Both Nacua and Kupp will see the majority of the Rams’ targets again here, making it likely that Nacua will cover the 5.5 reception line.
