The Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) face the New Orleans Saints (2-0) to kick off NFL Week 3 on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET from Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The Saints are 3-point favorites with the game total set at 49.5. New Orleans is a -150 favorite on the moneyline, while Philadelphia is +125 to pull off the upset. The game will be broadcast live on FOX and can be streamed on platforms like YouTube TV.

Without A.J. Brown, the Eagles offense couldn't get going and lost to the Falcons on Monday night. Saquon Barkley played well, but Jalen Hurts was unable to repeat his Week 1 success. The Saints, meanwhile, have the best offense in the NFL through two weeks. Derek Carr is playing like an MVP, while Alvin Kamara is coming off of a four-touchdown game in the win over the Cowboys.

Let's get into my Eagles vs. Saints prediction for Sunday afternoon and my NFL picks and predictions for Week 3.

Eagles vs. Saints: NFL Week 3 Picks

I think this is a complete overreaction to a last-second meltdown by Philadelphia. You can upgrade New Orleans to an extent somewhat, but this line move still seems excessive.

Even accounting for A.J. Brown being out, the Saints' upgrade, and the Eagles on short rest, the swing is too much. Yes, the Eagles defense is a problem, but they were in a position to win last week against the Falcons, which is all you can ask for.

The Saints, meanwhile, started the season against two teams that couldn't run the ball effectively, which makes it hard to gauge their improvement. While they're at the top of the NFC right now, the Eagles were being talked about as a potential number one seed. This spot feels like an overreaction. If Saquon Barkley catches a late pass against the Falcons before Kirk Cousins' game-winning drive in the fourth quarter, we're not talking about Philly as a three-point 'dog.

New Orleans' offense has been efficient, though it's hard to measure exactly how much better it is from last year. The Saints have obviously benefited from big plays, with Rashid Shaheed catching long bombs and Derek Carr mostly thriving by using play action. The offensive line looks better, but the sample size is still small.

The Saints haven't had a true dropback game yet, and their few plays have done significant damage. The Eagles' defense has issues, but the Saints' efficiency might not hold up. This could be the top of the market for the Saints, flipping six points quickly against a top contender in the NFC based on a last-second loss by the Eagles.

Best Bet for Eagles vs. Saints

This feels like a classic overreaction week. The Eagles are still a strong team with explosive players like DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. The Saints haven't been tested enough, and their performance so far is skewed by big plays. Philly is being underestimated because of its loss last Monday, but it still has a lot working in its favor here.

I was ready to bet Philly at +2.5, but the line got to three late in the week. The market is too high on the Saints right now, and the Eagles should cover this spread.

Pick: Eagles +3
