Eagles vs Seahawks Player Props: Noah Fant
Fant has taken a back seat in the Seahawks offense this season with Seattle adding a high-end No. 3 WR in first-round pick Jaxon-Smith Njigba. Fant is also part of a three-way committee at TE, but he's the clear lead pass-catching TE since he runs a route on around 60% of dropbacks.
With Drew Lock expected to get the start tonight for Seattle, I think that’s a big boost for Fant. He leads all Seattle pass catchers with 90 yards when Lock has been under center this season. I think part of that is due to the chemistry these two have from their days with the Broncos.
Fant also gets a matchup against an Eagles defense that struggles against TEs and ranks 31st in DVOA against the position. A lot of that is due to all of the injuries Philadelphia has had to deal with at linebacker. Zach Cunningham has been the Eagles' best coverage, but he has already been ruled out tonight. Newly acquired Shaq Leonard will likely be forced into a full-time role and could struggle in coverage.
I’m projecting Fant closer to 24.5 yards with a 60% chance he clears 19.5. I love his upside if Lock is under center.
