The Falcons head to Seattle looking for their first win of the season. The Seahawks are coming off a tough loss to the 49ers after their Week 1 triumph over Russell Wilson and the Broncos.
Atlanta needs to translate its production into points while Seattle's defense will look to start getting some stops. The Falcons have underperformed but have been surprisingly competitive thus far this season, and it's fair to say the Seahawks are lucky to have a win under their belt.
If Marcus Mariota can limit his mistakes, the Falcons should be able to score enough points to get their first win. On the other side, Geno Smith will need to turn his accuracy into explosive plays to keep the Seahawks in the game.

The Seahawks' run game has been non-existent through two weeks. They are currently 28th in offensive rush DVOA, but will get an opportunity to exploit a soft Falcons rush defense. In the passing game, Smith has gotten praise for his consistent play; however, he has yet to top 200 passing yards in a game as the Seahawks rank last in the NFL in yards per completion (7.6).
The Falcons are a respectable 16th at 10.4 yards per completion. They have much more capability to pull off the explosive play and that could be the difference-maker here.
Betting Picks
The Falcons are 2-0 ATS this season with close losses to two good teams (Saints and Rams). Meanwhile, the Seahawks were on the right side of terrible coaching and turnover luck in Week 1 and followed it up with a weak performance in Week 2.
The Falcons are the better team overall and the Seahawks don't have the personnel to exploit their weaknesses. The Falcons will utilize the explosive play to take care of business against Seattle.
Atlanta's offense is very underrated while the Seahawks still have a higher public perception because of their fluke win over Denver. The Falcons should be able to go on the road and pick up their first win of the season.
