The second-most valuable fantasy football quarterback is out on Sunday as Jalen Hurts will sit with an injury, paving the way for Gardner Minshew to lead the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Hurts is dealing with a sprained ankle, which means Minshew will start in his place. Only Josh Allen has scored more fantasy points for quarterbacks than Hurts this season.
Will Minshew have the same opportunities in Philadelphia's offense against the New York Jets?
That's the question scrambling fantasy football managers are asking before kick off.
Minshew has played just once this season, completing two passes against the Detroit Lions in a 44-6 blowout win. He started eight games for the Jacksonville Jaguars last season, completing 66% of his throws for 251 yards per game. He threw 16 touchdowns to just five interceptions.
He registered 21 touchdowns against six picks in his rookie season when Jacksonville went 6-6 in his starts. The Eagles traded for Minshew this offseason to serve as Hurts' backup.
While he won't be Hurts on the ground, he has averaged four rushing attempts per game in his career.
