The best part about betting on Samuel is he doesn’t necessarily need to be in the red zone to score.
While he can score from the 11-yard line, like he did in Week 2 against the Rams, he can also take a slant 72 yards to the house like he did against the Seahawks last year in the Wild Card game.
Much like Christian McCaffrey, Samuel is versatile and will get red-zone looks either running or receiving. The difference is we can get Samuel at +130 for an Anytime Touchdown compared to something like -300 for McCaffrey.
As for the Giants, they’ve allowed five rushing touchdowns in two games. They play a lot of man coverage and blitz plenty, which means quick throws are in order – the Deebo Dumpoff is definitely in play in this one.
Almost every 49ers player has steamed TD odds, so Samuel is the only way I'd go.
If you’re looking for a long-shot play, check out Ronnie Bell. The rookie WR for the Niners is +2000 at bet365.
Brandon Aiyuk is dealing with a shoulder injury and didn't practice on Monday and was limited on Tuesday. If he's limited in any way on Thursday, Bell could see an increase in snaps.
At those odds, it’s worth a pizza bet — for me, that's 0.1 units.
