Monday Night Football is upon us and we have the New York Giants (2-5) set to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2). It’s not a vintage matchup but it’s one with plenty of intrigue an opportunity.

The oddsmakers see Pittsburgh as a 6-point favorite on the spread in Monday's contest, while the over/under is set at 36.5 total points. Kickoff from Acrisure Stadium is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Continue below for my Giants vs. Steelers props and my NFL picks for Monday Night Football Week 8.

We’ve seen back to back 100+ rushing yard games from Najee Harris and he’s primed for another big Sunday here. His first 100+ rushing yard game in Week 6 against the Raiders came with Justin Fields under center, in which he averaged an impressive 7.6 yards per carry.

With the quarterback change to Russell Wilson the following week, it opened up more chances for Harris, considering Wilson is far less mobile than Fields.

Week 7 saw Harris with 21 carries, his highest total of the season so far, and he repaid the faith put in him with 102 yards and a touchdown. The Steelers see the rush game as a key part of their offensive identity and will feature Harris heavily here against a Giants defense averaging 137.1 rushing yards allowed per game, the eight-most in the NFL.

The quarterback change wasn’t just beneficial for Najee Harris’ personal numbers, but also those of George Pickens. Pickens’ issue has never been one of ability, he’s shown glimpses of real superstar talent, the problem has been the quarterback play.

While the Steelers were getting solid results with Fields, it still wasn’t getting the best out of Pickens. It’s early in the process, but it looks like Wilson can offer the former Georgia man, a lot more.

In the opening six games of the season, we saw Pickens cover 61.5 yards just twice and have one 100+ receiving yard game, without scoring a single touchdown. That said, despite two games with under 30 yards, he still averaged 60.5 yards per game.

In one week with Wilson throwing him the ball, Pickens had 111 receiving yards and a touchdown on nine targets, his second-highest total of the season. The Giants have only given up 179.4 receiving yards per game, but with increased volume, we should see Pickens go over this line on Monday night.

Daniel Jones Over 19.5 Pass Completions (+105)

Firstly, this is a matchup that looks ripe for seeing Daniel Jones hitting 20 or more completions. The Giants are 6-point underdogs at the time of writing, so will likely be playing from behind. They are also facing a defense that has allowed just 81 rushing yards per game, the second-fewest in the NFL, while also giving up the 11th-most yards through the air. Meaning, if the Giants want to attack the Steelers, they’re going to be best served attempting to do it with the pass.

As much as this has been a poor season for Danny Dimes, he continues to (for better or worse) try to air it out. He’s had Over 19.5 completions in five of seven games so far this season, and has also eclipsed 30+ attempts in five of seven.
