Adam Thielen
Anytime Touchdown +230 (Caesars)
It was a down year for Thielen by his standards, but he still finished with six touchdowns and was one of the focal points of Minnesota’s offense with over 100 targets. He has consistently played over 90% of snaps every week.
When these teams played back in Week 16, Thielen did not score, but he had two red-zone targets, dropping one in the end zone. T.J. Hockenson and Justin Jefferson, meanwhile, each had touchdowns.
We’re getting over +200 odds on this one because of the emergence of Justin Jefferson and the Giants defense primarily utilizing man coverage. I’m willing to overlook that given that it’s the postseason and Kirk Cousins is going to throw to the guys he trusts.
Isaiah Hodgins
Anytime Touchdown +280 (FanDuel)
Hodgins has tallied four touchdowns in his last five games with six red-zone targets. What’s noteworthy about his touchdowns is that they’ve all come in the red zone.
He scored against Minnesota in their Week 16 affair, a game in which Daniel Jones targeted him 12 times. Hodgins has consistently played over 85% of snaps since coming over from Buffalo.
The matchup is a good one as the Vikings rank 26th in pass DVOA and are bottom three in DVOA specifically against wide receivers.
If New York gets inside the 10, look for Daniel Jones to target Hodgins.
Richie James is also worth a look to score, but because he lines up in the slot, I’m not as enthused. Minnesota has done a better job containing slot receivers compared to guys who line up outside.
Pick: Isaiah Hodgins Anytime TD |
