This article contains predictions for an old game.

The Houston Texans (7-5) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2-9) will face off in NFL Week 13 at 1 p.m. ET from EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville. The game will be live on FOX and can be streamed on YouTube TV.

The Texans are favored by 3.5 points with the game total set at 44.5 points scored. The Texans are -185 favorites to win outright, while the Jaguars are +155 to pull off the upset.

Let's get into my Texans vs. Jaguars picks and NFL picks.

The Jaguars suffered their fourth straight loss last week in a 52-6 drubbing to the Lions. Jacksonville has scored just 13 points in Mac Jones’ two starts since Trevor Lawrence went down with a shoulder injury. The Texans lost 32-27 to the Titans last week and have dropped three of their last four games. Joe Mixon had 14 carries for 22 yards last week while C.J. Stroud threw two interceptions.

Texans vs. Jaguars Prediction

Spread

This seems like a potential smash spot for the Texans, but they've been inconsistent this season and were upset by the Titans. Instead, I'm going to back Houston against the spread in the first half since it's been quite profitable this season.

The Jaguars are terrible, so I'm looking for reasons to fade them. This is the best way.

My Pick: Texans First Half -2.5

Moneyline

I'm not betting either moneyline in this game.

Over/Under

I have no pick on this game's total.

Texans vs. Jaguars Preview

I still don’t believe in the Texans, but I just might against the Jaguars.

The Jaguars offense scored 13 combined points in two games before their Week 12 bye. Mac Jones, unsurprisingly, is not the answer in Jacksonville.

Sure, those games were against two of the top-three defenses in the NFL (according to DVOA) in the Vikings and Lions, but the Texans are the third one. Houston’s defense ranks in the top four against the run and the pass.

The Jaguars defense is dead last in DVOA. This might be a spot where the Texans offense finally gets going.

The bye week won’t help the Jaguars. Doug Pederson is 2-5 against the spread (ATS) in his head-coaching career after a bye week.

I don’t mind the full-game spread here since road favorites of six or fewer points against a team coming off its bye are 28-15-2 (65%) ATS. The Texans have won 11 of the last 13 matchups against the Jaguars, including six straight in Jacksonville.

I really like the first-half spread, though, especially under the key number of three.

Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik’s units are much better in the first half, ranking in the top half of DVOA before halftime and 24th after. The Texans are 10-2 against the first-half spread; the Jaguars are 4-7.

This feels like a Texans blowout, but my best bet is on Houston to lead by at least a field goal at halftime.

My Pick: Texans 1H -2.5 (-115)
