NFL Thursday Night Football features Texans vs. Jets at MetLife Stadium to begin NFL Week 9. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video.

Beyond spread and total bets, I'm looking at Texans vs. Jets anytime touchdown scorers for Thursday Night Football.

Here are my two anytime touchdown scorer bets for tonight.

Texans vs. Jets TD Scorer Props

  • Davante Adams Anytime Touchdown (+160, BetMGM)
  • C.J. Stroud Anytime Touchdown (+650, DraftKings)

Davante Adams has played two games with the Jets but hasn't gotten in the end zone yet. This might be the week, though.

Adams has played 94% of snaps and has three red-zone targets in two games. His role as a go-to player in the Jets offense is not in doubt.

The Texans defense has graded well against the pass this season, ranking third in DVOA. Houston has still allowed 11 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers this season, though, which ranks as the second most in the NFL.

Allen Lazard looks unlikely to play this week, taking a key red-zone target away from Aaron Rodgers. With another week of practice, I expect Adams to finally get on the same page as Aaron Rodgers and score his first touchdown since Week 2.

Stroud doesn't have a rushing touchdown this season, but he had three last season.

This year, Stroud only has two carries inside the 5-yard line and was stuffed at the goal line. Last season, he had three totes inside the 5 and two touchdowns.

Stroud's receiving options are going to be limited this week with Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs out. He'll be relying on the likes of Robert Woods, Xavier Hutchinson and John Metchie alongside Tank Dell and Dalton Schultz.

Also, the Jets defense is much better against the pass than it is the run. New York's defense is 23rd in DVOA against the run and has allowed six rushing touchdowns over the last three games. Three of those six touchdowns were scored by opposing quarterbacks in Drake Maye, Russell Wilson and Josh Allen.
