It's not quite panic time, but fantasy football managers holding any sort of Darren Waller stock may need to make some slight alterations.
Waller, who was second on the Raiders in both catches (55) and yards (665) behind Hunter Renfrow last season, has been nursing a hamstring that's kept him out of practice recently.
On Wednesday, Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels wasn't ready to confirm his star tight end's status for Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers, putting Waller's availability in flux.
We have options for fantasy managers here at the Action Network — and that includes adjustments involving Renfrow and tight end Foster Moreau.
Raiders Fantasy Rankings & Advice
According to consensus fantasy rankings assembled by resident experts Sean Koerner and Chris Raybon, Waller is currently TE5.
Only Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, Kyle Pitts and George Kittle are ranked higher.
"We saw what happened last season when Waller was out, and that was Foster Moreau becoming more relevant — but not too relevant — in the Raiders offense. Moreau would enter the TE2 and streaming discussions and would be more relevant for DFS," noted Koerner.
"For the rest of the Raiders offense, Renfrow is the most-affected pass catcher. He becomes a safer WR2 option if Waller is out."
Waller posted just two touchdowns last year, after going off for nine the season prior.
Carr, meanwhile, still has Renfrow and Davante Adams, the latter of whom ranked top five league-wide last season in catches (123), yards (1,556) and TD receptions (11).
The veteran quarterback is QB15 in Koerner and Raybon's consensus rankings at the time of writing.
Las Vegas is a 3.5-point road underdog against the Chargers in Week 1, with the total between 51.5 and 52 (check out the full odds boards here)
