The Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6) and Philadelphia Eagles (5-2) will face off on Sunday afternoon NFL Week 9 at 4:05 p.m. ET from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The game will be live on CBS and can be streamed on Paramount+, YouTube TV and other services. The Eagles are favored by 7.5 points over the Jaguars (Eagles -7.5) with the game total set at 46 points. The Eagles are -350 on the moneyline to win and Jacksonville is +275.

The Eagles won 37-17 last week over the Bengals. Jalen Hurts is settling in, as he threw for 236 yards and a touchdown last week, and Philly has now won 4 of its last 5 games. The Jaguars lost 30-27 last week to the Packers. Trevor Lawrence played pretty well last week, throwing for 308 yards and 2 touchdowns in the defeat.

Let's get into my Jaguars vs. Eagles prediction and my NFL picks for Week 9.

Jaguars vs. Eagles Expert Picks

Spread

I like the Eagles here, but I think the best way to back them is as part of a teaser. You can get them down to -1.5, and I'd look to pair them with the Chiefs on Monday Night Football or the Bengals if Tee Higgins plays.

Moneyline

I'm not betting any moneylines in this game.

Over/Under

Based on my props, I'm clearly backing the Eagles for a big day offensively. I'm staying away from the total, though.

Player Props

I've found a couple of ways to back A.J. Brown in this game. He's having an excellent season when he has been healthy, and this is a great matchup against the worst pass defense in the NFL.

My picks: A.J. Brown Over 75.5 Receiving Yards (-110); 100+ Receiving Yards (+215)

Jaguars vs. Eagles NFL Week 9

The Eagles offense got going in against the Bengals last week. Jalen Hurts was 16-of-20 for 236 yards and a passing touchdown, and he ran three more in. Saquon Barkley ran for 108 yards, A.J. Brown hauled in 84 receiving yards and DeVonta Smith had six grabs for 85 and a touchdown. It was an impressive performance on the road.

Now, the Eagles get a nice stretch of subpar pass defenses with the Jaguars, Cowboys, Commanders and Rams on deck. It's time to look into buying stock potentially in Hurts to win MVP (+2000) or Brown for NFL Offensive Player of the Year (+10000).

That run starts with Jacksonville, which according to DVOA has the worst overall defense and pass defense in the NFL. The Jags might get shredded here, and Brown is the player we're going to back.

Jacksonville has allowed 20 passes of 27 or more yards, which comes out to 2.5 per game with at least one in every game it's played this season. That puts Brown's longest catch prop in play, which is set at 25.5 at most sportsbooks.

You could even combine markets for a same-game parlay here.

Browns has at least 84 receiving yards in every game he's played this season with a catch of at least 29 yards in each and one of 40 or more yards in three games. He's also found the end zone in three of four games.

Since the start of last season, Brown has gone over 75.5 receiving yards 14 times in 20 games (70%). I'd even look for escalators here, too. Brown to get 100 or more receiving yards is +215, which he has done in nine of 20 games since the start of last season. Heck, I'm even consider 150 yards at +1000 over at DraftKings.

Picks: A.J. Brown Over 75.5 Receiving Yards (-110); 100+ Receiving Yards (+215)
