For my Jaguars vs. Saints player props to kick off NFL Week 7, I have picks on both of the bell-cow running backs in this game (Travis Etienne and Alvin Kamara), as well as a long-shot Anytime Touchdown Scorer for Jacksonville.

Let's kick off this week's slate with our Thursday Night Football bets.

Travis Etienne

Anytime TD Scorer (+115)

Picking Travis Etienne to score isn’t the boldest prediction I’ve ever made in my life, but it’s the anytime touchdown scorer I’m most comfortable with for Thursday Night Football. First, he’s in incredible form. It’s easy to forget, but last year — which was effectively his rookie year because he got hurt in his first season — he had just five touchdowns in the regular season. Well, he’s already matched that total through six games.

He’s picked up 451 rushing yards, and although the Saints’ defense is strong against the run, it’s inevitable that the Jaguars will rely on Etienne in this game because of Trevor Lawrence’s status. Whether it’s an 80% Lawrence or a 100% CJ Beathard, Jacksonville will look to protect its quarterback and focus on the ground, which is where Etienne comes in.

Back Etienne to find the end zone.

Pick: Travis Etienne Anytime TD Scorer

Alvin Kamara

Over 25.5 Receiving Yards (-125)

My second bet of the game focuses on a running back on the other sideline, Alvin Kamara, and we’re backing him to go over 25.5 receiving yards. Strike quick because this line has already gone up into the 30 at some books.

Kamara’s had more than 25.5 receiving yards in two of three games since returning from suspension and is averaging 25 yards across those three games. Now, he'll face a Jaguars defense that's terrible at stopping running backs in the passing game. Jacksonville has allowed an average of 40.5 receiving yards to running backs this season and Kamara is one of the top pass-catching backs in the NFL.

Brenton Strange

Anytime TD Scorer (+1100)

Okay, stick with me here. Brenton Strange is +1000 for a reason, but I can’t help but think that the rookie tight end offers some value here. He’s only had four catches on six targets, but half of those catches and half of those targets were last week. It sure does look like the Jaguars are looking to get him more involved.

The Penn State product was picked in the second round of this year's draft and hauled in his first touchdown last week against the Colts. He leads Jacksonville's tight ends in red zone targets (two to Evan Engram’s zero), which shows that the Jaguars believe his 6'3" frame could cause defenses trouble in the red zone.

The Saints have allowed two touchdowns to tight ends this season, and although Strange is far from being a lock, I think there’s a far higher chance of him scoring on Thursday night than the +1000 odds imply.

Pick: Brenton Strange Anytime TD Scorer
