Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles put on a show on Monday Night Football in a 24-7 thrashing over the Minnesota Vikings.
There was plenty of buzz about the Eagles heading into the season, and they showed on a national stage why they are a darkhorse to win the Super Bowl.
That has caused bettors to continue to flock to the sportsbooks to bet on the Eagles to win the Super Bowl and Jalen Hurts to win MVP.
Jalen Hurts MVP Odds
Hurts is now the third-biggest favorite to win MVP at BetMGM with +1000 odds. He opened at 40-1 during the offseason and was all the way up to 16-1 before Week 2.
After the MNF performance, he is now considered one of the favorites.
Hurts threw for 333 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Vikings. He added 57 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. That's on top of a Week 1 performance in which he threw for 243 yards and added 96 yards on the ground.
Josh Allen remains the favorite to win MVP at +300, closely followed by Patrick Mahomes at +450. Hurts is now the next one on their tail, along with Justin Herbert at +1000.
Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Odds
The Eagles are also climbing up the Super Bowl odds board. Just like Hurts, they opened at 40-1 in the offseason and were 14-1 to win the big one before Week 2.
They sit at +1100 with the fourth-best odds to win the Super Bowl.
The Eagles are also getting the most tickets (16.4%) and percentage of the handle (19.3%) to win the NFC at BetMGM. They are currently the second-biggest favorite to win the NFC behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
If Hurts continues to play at an MVP-caliber level, this is only the beginning of what could be a magical season in Philadelphia.
